My Take on “Rules for Revolutionaries”
I woke up early this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I decided to knock out one of the books Lindsay’s parents bought me for my birthday: Guy Kawasaki’s “Rules For Revolutionaries.”
Before I started following blogs in google reader, I came across Kawasaki’s blog through a link in an article I was reading from just doing a generic google query for the info I was looking up.
The book feels a little dated at this point (published 2000), so my take on it has to be a little lenient from that standpoint, but my initial feeling was one of criticism. This has been good timing though, because over on my main blog @ www.elliottpayne.com I’m reposting a series I originally wrote in 2008 about my predictions for web 2.0 and where that market will take us. His book predates much of the big web 2.0 developments in recent years and I have to give him credit for at least having a good intuition about what was coming by way of internet use and technolgies.
But go to www.elliottpayne.com in the coming days and I’ll expand on my take on this book.
